March Member of the Month Spotlight: Matt S.

Throughout your lifetime, how long have you been working out for and what do you enjoy most about fitness?

 

I have always been very active but started lifting weights near the end of middle school.    I have been doing it on and off ever since.  The way I feel is hands down what I enjoy the most.  There's no way to explain how much better I feel having a healthier lifestyle.  

 

Since training at K.Shan Performance, what have you learned the most about fitness as well as about yourself?

 

I learned that it will take a lot of hard work and time to reach my goals.  K. Shan Performance keeps me motivated to keep working at it.

 

What do you like most about the workouts? And what is your favorite exercise?

 

I like how every workout is different.  It's hard work but always fun at the same time.  My favorite exercise is dead lifting.

 

What would you recommend to someone looking to start training?

 

We all get 168 hours a week, stop making excuses and spend 2-3 of those hours a week at K. Shan Performance.  Your future is worth it.

 

Matt has been working with us for about 5 months. He first started out learning how to bodyweight squat using no weights and deadlifting using a 50 lb. kettlebell. He is now up to deadlifting over 300 lbs and just recently PR'd by squatting 235 lbs for 5 reps. Matt pays great attention to detail and is able to apply what he learns about fitness and nutrition both inside and out of the facility in to his daily life. Keep up the great work Matt!
