September Member of the Month-Julie S.

A big congrats to Julie S. on being selected as our September Member of the Month. Julie has made great strides in the short time that she has been with us. Her ability to learn, apply, and keep a positive mind-set in her sessions has allowed for her to achieve results she did not know were possible. Thank you Julie for pushing yourself at the fitness center, we look forward to your continued success with your healthy lifestyle. 

 

Throughout your lifetime, how long have you been working out for and what do you enjoy most about fitness?

 

I have been working out/active  off and on for most of my adult life, riding bicycles, walking, water aerobics, hiking, swimming, group classes and, even some running.  What I like the most about working out is how good I feel once I finish each time.  I feel in control of my body, have more energy and know more about reaching my fitness goals. 

 

Since training at K.Shan Performance, what have you learned the most about fitness as well as about yourself?

 

The two important things I learned since working out with Kyle is how strong I can be and the only limits to my fitness goals are the ones I choose.

 

What do you like most about the workouts? And what is your favorite exercise?

 

What I like most of the workouts is they are always different and done in a group.  Everyone who works out is very supportive regardless of their own fitness level.   My favorite exercise is the odd object lifts as it encourages you to push yourself through the use of objects of varying shapes and weights.

 

What would you recommend to someone looking to start training?

 

To anyone who is considering starting this type of training remember that this is the only body you have and you owe it to yourself to take the best care of it.  Nothing great comes easy, so don't give up.
