This month member of the month is Erin C. Erin has been killing it at KSP since joining. Even with a minor set back recently (injury) she has been able to preserver and continue chugging along on her fitness journey. We here at KSP are proud of you Erin.
Throughout your lifetime, how long have you been working out for and what do you enjoy most about fitness?
I have been active my whole life. I grew up a tomboy and loved to be outside. Once I went to school I joined every sport I could. I have always been a member at some kind of gym and tried to incorporate fitness into my everyday life. Fitness is the best release for me and something I can do anywhere.
Since training at KSP Fitness, what have you learned the most about fitness as well as about yourself?
After starting at KSP I realized how strong and focused I can be. Weights made me nervous but after KSP I have embraced them. I have learned day after day that strong is the new sexy.
What do you like most about the workouts? And what is your favorite exercise?
I love that the workouts are trainer led. You don’t get that everywhere. Each exercise we are going to is demonstrated and we are always given variations of how to do the exercise. After I hurt my shoulder I was able to keep working out because the trainers here helped me modify some exercises and I firmly believe it has helped my shoulder heal faster and stronger. My all time favorite exercise are the box jumps and when we do the fun team challenges.
What would you recommend to someone looking to start training?
I would tell anyone that is looking to start making fitness a priority that it is the gift that keeps giving. The biggest piece of advice I have is do not compare or compete with anyone except yourself. Come as you are and bring it everyday. KSP has gotten me so much more comfortable in my own skin and to me that means more then any number on the scale. I love the atmosphere and vibe here and it makes me want to go work out.
