Throughout your lifetime, how long have you been working out for and what do you enjoy most about fitness?
I worked out for about 6 years when I was younger. Unfortunately I stopped and did not get back to working out until 2016. The best thing about fitness is feeling young again. I'm 34 and I'm in better shape than I was at 24. KSP Fitness has given me the physical strength I have been wanting for years.
Since training at KSP Fitness, what have you learned the most about fitness as well as about yourself?
What I've learned most is that constancy is everything. Being constant with my workout schedule and diet has helped me get the to the next level of losing weight and keeping me on track with my goals.
What do you like most about the workouts? And what is your favorite exercise?
What I like most about the workouts is the fact that I do not have to spend time planning my own workouts. I just show up and 50 minutes later I'm done. Taking that aspect out of fitness has really allowed me to focus on other things such as my diet outside of the gym. I don't do well with planning my own workouts, and to be honest working out with others is much more fun that doing it by yourself.
As for my favorite exercise, if I had to pick one it would be anything related to chest exercises such as dumbell chest presses.
What would you recommend to someone looking to start training?
Start slow and light. When I started at KSP I tried to grab weights I thought I could handle and I had to go much lighter. Once I got my cardio up I was able to do much more!!
